TECHNICAL SUPPORT BRANCH NAVIGATION BULLETIN NO. 22-81 NOTICE TO NAVIGATION INTERESTS:
ALABAMA RIVER WATERWAY, ALABAMA
DREDGE WORK, RIVER MILE 30.5, MATTHEWSON BAR
Notice is given to mariners that Inland Dredging Co.’s DREDGE INTEGRITY began maintenance dredging operations at Alabama River mile 30.5 (Matthewson Bar) on 26-OCT-2022. It will utilize floating and submerged pipelines and will place material within banks adjacent to the floating plant. The dredge will work 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and operations are expected to last approximately 10 days.
The dredge will monitor VHF Channels 13 and 16. Traffic is requested to notify the vessel prior to approaching the area and to transit the area with caution at no-wake speed.
